Featured Artist: Laura Ellen Bacon

This month, the Creative C is proud to feature British sculptor Laura Ellen Bacon, whose monumental woven installations transform natural materials into immersive, organic forms. Working primarily with sustainably sourced willow, Bacon creates large-scale sculptures that appear to grow from their environments—whether cascading down gallery walls, enveloping architectural spaces, or nestled within landscapes. Her works evoke natural structures like cocoons, seed pods, and nests, inviting viewers to engage with them both visually and physically.

Find here work HERE its amazing!

Bacon's work challenges the boundaries between art, craft, and architecture, demonstrating how traditional materials and techniques can be reimagined in contemporary contexts. Her sculptures not only reflect the physical labor involved in their creation but also embody a meditative process that invites contemplation and connection. Through her art, Bacon encourages us to reconsider our relationship with the natural environment and the spaces we inhabit.

Becoming the Observer in Your Art Making

This shift—from simply making art to witnessing my own process—feels like an important progression, one that has opened up a deeper relationship with creativity itself.
